The self-audit: free, demanding, underrated

A point of law often ignored: your certifier cannot play this role. The prohibition on consulting that binds certification bodies makes any “in-house” mock audit by them impossible — beware of offers that blur the line.

Whatever the format: the deliverables to demand

A mock audit only has value through what it leaves behind:

2. a prioritised action plan, modelled on the logic of the corrective action plan;
3. a re-check date before the real audit, to verify the gaps are closed.
