Approval of SSIAP training centres (fire safety)
Mandatory: only approved centres may deliver SSIAP 1, 2 and 3 training for fire-safety and personal-assistance teams.

- C.1The three qualification levels: fire-safety agent (SSIAP 1), team leader (SSIAP 2) and fire-safety manager (SSIAP 3), plus refresher courses.
- C.2Requirements on trainers, teaching resources and technical facilities (including live-fire exercises).
- C.3Exams organised with juries compliant with the order (chaired by a fire-brigade officer for the relevant levels).
The link with Qualiopi
The prefectoral approval authorises SSIAP training; Qualiopi is still required from the centre whenever courses draw public or pooled funding (CPF via registered credentials, OPCO…).
The process, summarised
- 1.Prepare the approval file required by the order: trainer qualifications, technical-facility agreements, programmes and equipment.
- 2.File the request with the prefecture of the centre's home département.
- 3.Meet the operating obligations (session declarations, juries, registers) and renew the approval when it expires.

+Can you deliver SSIAP training without approval?
No: prefectoral approval is a legal condition for delivering the courses and presenting candidates for SSIAP exams.
+Is SSIAP approval valid throughout France?
Approval is issued by the prefect of the centre's département; sessions held elsewhere follow the declaration rules set by the order.
+How long does the approval last?
Approval is granted for a limited period (five years) and must be renewed on application before it expires.
