RGE-approved training courses (Reconnu Garant de l'Environnement)
Mandatory in this niche: for courses to count towards a company's RGE quality mark, they must be delivered within an approved framework.
Issued by: RGE qualification bodies (Qualibat, Qualit'EnR, Qualifelec…), which approve training organisations and platforms
Building and renewable-energy training providers preparing the technical referents of companies applying for RGE.
What this scheme covers
- C.1RGE, the quality mark for energy-renovation contractors, conditions their clients' access to public subsidies (MaPrimeRénov', CEE, eco-loan).
- C.2RGE qualification notably requires a trained technical referent; the corresponding courses, including the FEEBAT scheme, are delivered by approved organisations or platforms.
- C.3Courses concluded by an assessment (generally a final questionnaire) attesting the referent's skills.
The link with Qualiopi
Approval by a qualification body makes the courses valid for RGE; Qualiopi is still required to have them financed by public or pooled funds.
To prepare Qualiopi certification itself, see the guide to the 32 indicators of the framework.
The process, summarised
- 1.Identify the RGE qualifications targeted by trainees (Qualibat, Qualit'EnR, Qualifelec…).
- 2.Have the courses, trainers and, where relevant, technical facilities approved by the relevant qualification body.
- 3.Deliver the courses and assessments in line with the approved frameworks.
FAQ — RGE training
+Can a training provider itself be 'RGE'?
No: the RGE mark qualifies works contractors. The training provider is 'approved' by the qualification bodies to deliver the courses enabling companies to obtain RGE.
+What is FEEBAT?
A national training scheme on energy savings in buildings, whose modules are notably used to train the technical referents required for RGE.
+Why combine RGE approval and Qualiopi?
Approval makes the courses valid for companies' RGE qualification; Qualiopi allows them to be funded (notably by OPCOs). Without Qualiopi the course remains valid but at the company's expense.
