Qualibat qualification (construction) and the RGE mark

What this scheme covers
- C.1Qualifications per type of works (a detailed nomenclature), awarded on file: project references, human and material resources, financial health, insurance.
- C.2The RGE mark attached to the relevant qualifications, with extra requirements (trained referent, site audits).
- C.3Periodic follow-up: qualification is granted for a multi-year period with review and interim checks.

The process, summarised

- 2.For the RGE mark: train the technical referent(s) for the works domain.
- 3.File the application with Qualibat, respond to the review, then maintain the qualification (annual follow-up, site audits for RGE).
FAQ — Qualibat
+Is Qualibat the only body issuing RGE?
No: depending on the trade, RGE can also be obtained from other bodies (Qualit'EnR for renewables, Qualifelec for electrical…). Qualibat is the most general construction one.
+What is the difference between qualification and certification?
Qualification attests technical capability for a type of works (based on references and resources); certification attests conformity of a system or service to a framework, audit included. Qualibat mainly issues qualifications.
+Without RGE, do my customers lose the subsidies?
For the main housing energy-renovation schemes, yes: using an RGE firm is an eligibility condition of the subsidies.
