The professional-title approval covers exam organisation; Qualiopi covers the quality of the training process. An approved centre seeking public funding must also hold Qualiopi.

How to proceed

The process, summarised

  1. 1.Choose the target title and study its frameworks (employment, activities, competencies and assessment).
  2. 2.File an approval request with the DREETS to organise exam sessions, with the required technical facilities.
  3. 3.Run the sessions with panels of authorised professionals and issue the required candidate booklets.

+Who awards the professional title?

The title is awarded on behalf of the State by the Ministry of Labour's representative, upon the jury's decision; the approved centre organises the exam but does not award the title in its own name.

+How does a professional title differ from a diploma?

Both are official certifications registered in the RNCP. The professional title, run by the Ministry of Labour, targets fast entry into an occupation; diplomas mostly fall under the education ministries.

+Can a professional title be obtained through VAE?

Yes, professional titles can be obtained through recognition of prior learning (VAE), in full or one CCP at a time.
