Professional qualification certificate (CQP)
Voluntary: each industry branch decides to create CQPs and to authorise providers to prepare candidates.
Issued by: Industry branches, through their national joint employment commissions (CPNE)
Training organisations working with an industry branch (metalworking, cleaning, sport, hospitality…) and employees of those sectors.
What this scheme covers
- C.1Recognition of skills specific to an occupation within a branch, defined and awarded jointly by employers and unions.
- C.2CQPs may be registered in the RNCP (with a qualification level) or in the Répertoire spécifique to unlock funding.
- C.3Preparation generally entrusted to providers authorised by the branch.
The link with Qualiopi
Branch authorisation defines who may prepare and assess the CQP; Qualiopi is still required from the provider whenever the course draws public or pooled funding.

The process, summarised
- 1.Identify the target branch and CQP, then contact the CPNE or the operator it has appointed.
- 2.Obtain authorisation to prepare and, where applicable, assess the CQP under the branch's specifications.
- 3.Deliver the courses and assessments in line with the CQP framework.
FAQ — CQP
+Is a CQP recognised outside its branch?
Its natural recognition is within the branch that created it; RNCP registration additionally gives it national recognition with a qualification level.
+Is a CQP eligible for CPF funding?
Only if it is registered in the RNCP or the Répertoire spécifique, like any certification.
+Who creates CQPs?
Industry branches, in a joint employer–union framework, generally through their CPNE.
